Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU) took part in the meeting to mark the launch of the Hungarian Presidency of the EU, which took place on 5 July 2024. After the opening address pronounced by Mrs. Anne Calteux, Representative of the European Commission in Luxembourg, H.E. Mr. Thomas Lambert, Ambassador of Belgium in Luxembourg, presented the results of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU (1st January – 30 June 2024), and H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván outilined the 7 priorities of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU (1st July-31 December 2024). In this context has been launched a book marking rhe centenary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Hungary, which was authored by Jean Ries, Jean-Marie Majerus and Stéphanie Kovács .
