We invite you to the opening of the “AGENCY: Vote With Her” exhibition that celebrates the power of migrant and refugee women’s agency in shaping the future of Europe! “AGENCY” is an inspiring initiative by the European Network of Migrant Women, co-funded by the European Parliament, in collaboration with femLENS and several partner organizations across EU states and it is aimed at amplifying the voices of women with migrant backgrounds in the lead-up to the 2024 European Parliament elections. Featuring the work of the Change Makers of the project, Pauline Mwabishi Ang’ang’o, Meri Shirzai, Aigerim Marat, and Sarah Anurika, the exhibition will explore themes of democracy and community involvement through photography, and will stay open for 1 month till 19 May 2024. The exhibition is curated by Lucia Anna Demény, Human Rights MA student of CEU and the Hungarian Country Facilitator of the AGENCY project. The opening event begins at 17:30, after doors open at 17:15. It will feature an introductory speech about the project’s goals and will be followed by a guided tour by the Change Makers, sharing the stories behind their photographs. 💬 🥂 The evening will also include a reception, offering a chance for conversations and connections around the exhibition themes. Supported by the OSUN Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network funding and CEU, the event is a call to reflect on our collective role in fostering a democratic and inclusive Europe.
