Active participation of migrants: influencing the present, shaping the future

The Union of Ukrainian Women in Greece and the United Ukrainian Diaspora in Greece under the auspices of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Hellenic Republic with the support of Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, organize the discussion on the topic “Proactive engagement of migrants: influencing the present, shaping the future" The main goal of the event is to underline the role of migrants communities in supporting and empowering their members to participate actively in social and political life of the city and the country. During the discussion the participants will share effective practices and gaps regarding the subject and will suggest solutions. The discussion is taking place in the framework of the program named “Agency Project. Vote with her”, a work of the ENoMW in collaboration with femLENS and other national and regional organizations in EU Member-States. In Greece the project is actualized by the Union for the Ukrainian Women in Greece. The main goal of “AGENCY” is the promotion of women with migration backgrounds to be more engaged in the EU Parliament elections. The realization of the program will take place from January 2023 until June 2024. The conference is held with the involvement of the Greek Forum for Migrants, the Association for International and European Affairs (AIEA) and the Attica ACCMR.
